A Google Maps users find a building that is headquarters of the human being as a bat, Batman. Imagine, on the roof of the building was plastered Batman symbol that so much.
The findings in this online map service to make people wonder, why there can be huge Batman symbol on top of buildings? Some parties considered, the findings are only lies.
But later, confirmed that this building really exists, namely the United States military base in Okinawa, Japan. Unitary Air Force's 44th Fighter Squadron based there.
Ed Gulick, a spokesman for the Air Force unit, said Batman symbol found via Google Maps is really real, but was previously not known to many people. It was unclear who made the symbol is there, but allegedly painted in the 1980s.
"We know that this symbol has been around for many years. This symbol gives encouragement to the Air Force because it makes the members feel pride in their units," said Gulick, who detikINET quotes from FoxNews, Thursday (10/21/2010).
Perhaps by seeing the symbol of Batman, they feel strong like the superhero of Gotham city.
