Good news for gamers. On 15 November 2010, Microsoft is scheduled to release a Games for Windows Marketplace, an online store that allows users to purchase digital copies directly from the browser game.
In addition to access from any computer, another attraction of this online store is the ability of super-fast downloads, easy searching by typing the title or genre of games, navigation is not complicated and offer discounts and other offers.
Reported by Mashable and quoted on Sunday (10/24/2010), Microsoft says, users can buy games using a credit card or Microsoft Points that they collect.
Games for Windows Marketplace can be called as Windows Games on Demand Store for browser-based version. Windows Games on Demand store itself is part of an online service Games for Windows Live.
By placing the online store in the browser, Microsoft is eliminating several steps required when a user would buy the game.
"With the Games for Windows Marketplace, we make a special digital store built for gamers end to end. And by integrating the Xbox LIVE service and Windows Live that already exist, we make millions of gamers to prove how easy it is to buy the game," said Kevin Unangst, as senior Global Director of PC and Mobile Gaming Microsoft.
At launch there will be about 100 games available at the online store, including Grand Theft Auto III, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Max Payne, Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, Flight Simulator, Gears of War, Hello, Zoo Tycoon, Fable III, Age of Empires Online and Microsoft Flight.
