General Motors (GM) finally change the name of its flagship hatchback Aveo. Aveo name change is considered important because it is considered not sell the Aveo name so it must be immediately replaced. Sonic and the name was chosen.
In GM's official website revealed that America's largest car manufacturer is planning to replace the Aveo name in model year 2012 under the name Sonic Chevrolet which will be out mid next year.
But the Sonic name according to the official site is intended only for GM's North American market alone, while another 50 countries, according to GM's automobile market willcontinue to use the name of the Aveo.
"The new car is roomy, stylish and fun to drive, and we feel that the name of Sonic convey the spirit of youth and energy in these vehicles," said vice president of Chevrolet Canada, Marc Comeau like detikOto quoted in GM's official website on Friday (10/12 / 2010).
