Sony Forced to Close PlayStation Network

Whether related towith case against Geohotz or not ,Sony is known to have closed the PlayStation Network . Why? There are 'external threats'.


Through its official blog, Sony announced the PlayStation Network is still closing.Online services for users of the PlayStation 3 is disrupted since 20 April 2011.


As quoted from the official PlayStation blog on Sunday (04/24/2011), the closure wascaused by 'external threats'.


"An intrusion from outside of our system has affected the PlayStation Network (PSN)and Qriocity," writes Patrick Siebold, Sr.. Director, Corporate Communications & SocialMedia, Sony Entertainment, United States.


For the sake of doing a thorough investigation, Siebold said, PSN and Qriocity beenturned off. He claimed not to know when service will be alive again.


"Our efforts to overcome this problem including rebuild our system to be morepowerful. Although it spends a lot of time, we decided that this needs to be done for the sake of security," he wrote.


PSN closure occurred shortly after Sony settle its legal case with Georgo Hotz akaGeohotz. When the case was crowded, the group called Anonymous had launched anoffensive to Sony.
