Nokia is very ambitious to penetrate the market with a handset Phone Windows 7 (WP7). In 2012, the Finnish mobile phone vendor is planning to fill the market with the launch smartphones based WP7 every few months.

"We will launch a new phone periodically, possibly every few months, every three months, like that," said Vice President of the Start Device Nokia, Jo Harlow.

Reported by Cellular News and quoted on Monday (5/30/2011), Harlow confirmed that the reason for launching a new handset on a regular basis every 8 to 12 weeks is to keep the publicity and momentum for the platform WP7, which received less attention than the OEM handset this year .

He also confirmed, Nokia is currently actively looking for niche market and develop CDMA-based smartphone to consumers in the United States (U.S.).

Note Additionally, although the first WP7 phone using Qualcomm chipsets as desired Microsoft, Nokia reportedly will switch to using chipsets from other providers. Presumably, this decision is because Nokia and Qualcommm bersengket patent issues related to CDMA.

But Nokia evasive about this. Harlow only states that have more than one chipset supplier is imperative to enable their products target level of performance different and a long list of other reasons.

"So, obviously the first step we use Qualcomm. We are now in talks with Microsoft to use another chipset," he said.
