Perhaps this will be the end of the story of the 'war' between Apple's patents with Nokia. If Apple stated previously entitled to the five patents at issue, a recent report mentions the existence of an agreement and payment agreement from Apple to Nokia.
This week, Nokia said it has reached an agreement with Apple, to end the feud between the two. Finnish vendor said the deal includes a one-time payment by Apple and continuous payment of royalties from Apple to Nokia. But Nokia did not specify more clearly the contents of the agreement.
"We are very pleased to Apple joined Nokia a growing number of licenses," said Nokia CEO, Stephen Elop through a press release reported by Market Watch
Mentioned In addition, this agreement will end a patent case between the two brands.
Earlier, in March last Apple otherwise entitled to the five patents that have been diperebutkannya with Nokia. International Trade Commission (ITC) in Washington, United States (U.S.) has decided Apple is not violated five patents.
However, the ITC judge's findings, E James Gildea, then reviewed by a commission of six persons, who have the authority to block imports of products known to infringe patents in the U.S..
As is known, the two top mobile phone vendors have been involved in disputes about patents on the technology they made phone since October 2009. Nokia filed a lawsuit accusing Apple has violated 10 patents and demanding royalties on millions of iPhones sold since its introduction in 2007.
Nokia claims, Apple has been using its proprietary technology, known as'pioneering innovation'. Nokia patents in question include a camera, batterytechnology, touch screen, speakers and messaging.
