Apple is reportedly designing a multi-layer display that allows users to view 3D images without glasses.
This rumor comes from an informed AppleInsider Apple's latest patent application. In the patent it is mentioned that Apple is developing the latest display technology.
3D-capable devices that are currently often creates depth perception of computer graphics are used to increase the angle of view two-dimensional image.
But the company is headquartered in Cupertino, California, United States (U.S.) is convinced that such techniques are not perfect, because it only sends a limited number of image depth and requires the user to use glasses that are less convenient to be able to see it.
Well, multi-layer display system developed by Apple, as reported by TG Daily and quoted on Friday (7/22/2011), screens displayed by a number of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) transparent. Each screen displays can be powered by its own graphics processing unit.
"The use of OLED panels will provide more benefits than ordinary display devices, since OLED panels do not require a backlight to function and can be thinner and lighter than the backlit display panel," the information contained in the patent application.
In addition to this information, AppleInsider also find other patent applications owned by Steve Jobs indicated the company is interested in designing a portable tablet-controlled movement with e-ink display. This device will be used specifically to read and interact with digital content.
