Maria Sharapova is getting closer to a fourth Grand Slam title in his career.Gorgeous Russian tennis player successfully stepped into the Wimbledon final in 2011 after passing the obstacles Sabine Lisicki.
The last four matches between Sharapova cons Lisicki held on Thursday (30/06/2011) night. Despite a slow start, Sharapova overcame tennis player from Germany's dark horse straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
Lisicki opened the game strongly with a 3-0 lead in the first set. However, Sharapova managed to rise and an equalizer for a 3-3 and equally strong position again in the next two games.
The turning point occurred when Sharapova won five games in which he succeeded Lisicki broke to lead 5-4 and closed the set with 6-4 victory.
Sharapova immediately take advantage of the momentum and step on the gas in the second set so that managed a 3-0 lead over his opponent. Liscki minimize the position to be 1-3 but Sharapova back away after winning the next two games to 5-1.
Lisicki seems reluctant to give up and go back to cut the distance to be 2-5.Sharapova double fault gave Lisicki wins in the next game and the score now 3-5.
Sharapova then do not waste the opportunity to immediately end the game. She broke Lisicki in the final game and sealed the 6-3 victory over the opponent's blow out away from the baseline.
It was Sharapova's second final at Wimbledon. Previously, 24-year-old reached the final in 2004 and managed to become champion after defeating Serena Williams.
