Following the unsatisfactory results in the qualifying session, where Rossi was inposition 13, the driver concerned and his team seem to prefer to all take a penalty in Aragon, in order to use the machine number seven rather than take the risk of compromising the appearance of more competitive in the next qualifying session.
"I have to say that we were not lucky today because I think we've got potentialand we deserve better results," Rossi value in Crash.
"However, I was in position 13, and at this point we will use our number sevenmachine and start from pit lane, because the front chassis (aluminum) which only works with the new machines we use at Misano," he explained.
This penalty makes Rossi will start the race from pit lane at the Aragon, 10 seconds after the race officially begins. Rossi will not get another penalty but hethen chose to use the machine number eight.
"We made this decision to come forward and we have started working towardsthe direction that we think are promising, although of course we were still in the initial steps and much remains to be done," explained Rossi
