Singapore GP podium is a place that always familiar Fernando Alonso. He was determined to keep the "tradition" on the podium at the Marina Bay this weekend.
Singapore GP race since the start took place in 2008, Alonso has always managed to set foot on the podium. After winning the inaugural race, the 2009 season he finished in the top three before returning to win last season.
"I've always been able to ascend the podium in three previous editions and now my goal is to create four (podiums) of four (races)," said Alonso in a Ferrari website that was launched on ESPN F1.
Alonso, which now sits in second place standings at the bottom of Sebastian Vettel, knew it would not be easy. But the performance in other road racing circuit before this at Monaco GP, when he finished second, making Alonso quite optimistic.
"What is certain is that we will bend over backwards: I think we have a chance to look good as long as we can exert the best performance in all aspects of: tires, car setup, engine, teamwork, all should be 100%," said Alonso.
