If Apple has the superior features of the voice command "Siri" in the iPhone 4S,then Google has a "Face Unlock" at the Galaxy Nexus. Unlock Face is a facialrecognition feature so that users can simply show his face to the camera tounlock the phone.
Unlock Face is one of many new capabilities are added to Google in Androidversion 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich. Ice Cream Sandwich was first used in the Galaxy Nexus, mobile phones recently introduced by Google and Samsung.
"Face Unlock using advanced facial recognition technology. Ice CreamSandwich really know our faces," claims Matias Duarte, Senior Director of the Android User Experience is quoted from Computerworld, Thursday(10/20/2011).
In addition to Face Unlock, there is another new feature called Google Beam.This application allows users to send data between two Android phones simplyby juxtaposing the two. This is possible thanks to the existence of NFC chip(Near Field Communication).
And though not as sophisticated as the iPhone 4S Siri who can act like apersonal assistant, Galaxy Nexus also has the facility of voice typing. Userssimply speak into the phone to write SMS, email and so on.
4S own iPhone has managed to achieve sales of 4 million units in just 3 days of marketing. It seems that Google and Samsung needs to work hard to match
