YG Entertainment (YGE), the agency that houses, among others, the BigBang, 2NE1, and Se7en take firm steps in spreading false news about the artist-artist. They reported it to police.
Starting from the rapper E-Sens positive smoking pot, the news about the blacklist of Korean celebrities who used cannabis were outstanding. Park Bom,Minzy, and Dara '2 NE1 'rumored to exist in the list.
The news circulated widely via Twitter and Facebook. YGE parties directly andfirmly denied that it had no single artist they are exposed to marijuana caseafter G-Dragon.
"Park Bom has nothing to do with the list. That is absolutely not true, so we did not notice. But over time the story continued to circulate that people began tothink if that's true," said a spokeswoman for YGE Soompi reported on Friday(04/11/2011 ).
YGE do feel very aggrieved by the news. Why their public shares fell almost 10% after G-Dragon marijuana cases. They were reported to the authorities totrace anyone who first spread the rumors.
"Finally we took the path of law. Spreader rumors are being investigated byKorean cyber police. We will also be filed a libel suit against several Korean media who reported it without sufficient facts," added the spokesman for YGE.
