This season, Ferrari was powerless to compete with the speed of Red Bulland McLaren. However, Fernando Alonso believes the team "Prancing Horse" will return to competition at the title next season.
Alonso was the only Ferrari in the top three standings. Spanish men are underSebastian Vettel and Jenson Button.
Meanwhile Felipe Massa's performance was much worse. Massa in sixth underMark Webber and Lewis Hamilton.
Alonso has seen significant progress made in the Ferrari this season.Therefore, he believes his team will return to competition in the championshipnext season.
"I'm sure will compete in the race for the title again next season and what makes me confident is that I'm with Ferrari," said the double world championwas as reported by Autosport.
"I'm pretty happy with my personal point of view of performance in 2011. How the team approached this season and how the progress made in areas wherewe were weak last season - so overall this would be much more powerful."
"Now I feel we just need a car. Last year we needed more things than carsbanya," lid Alonso.
