Constraints experienced tire Sebastian Vettel in Abu Dhabi GP immediately got the attention of the provider of Pirelli tires, which are currently working together with Red Bull to find the cause.
For the first time this season, Vettel's 2011 F1 champion, was unable to finish the race and even had to Retire early, despite starting the race from pole position at the Yas Marina, Sunday (11/13/2011).
It was not separated from the tire koyaknya Red Bull driver on the first lap, which then makes it off the track as he twisted to cause extensive damage to the suspension RB7 that he was driving.
"He looks bad luck today. Tires fine until Turn 1 and you can see the tires suddenly lost pressure," said Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner on the Grandprix.
"I think the suspension damage comes when his car crashed into the rim when he twisted path. It would be unsafe to continue," said Horner.
He explained, Vettel took the same lane as usual in Turn 1 and assume the tires are broken down by residual fragments or debris from the track's racing supporters.
"Today the team a little frustrated because Seb look good yesterday, one of the best qualifying lap in his career, to get the pole. Damn it all have to Retire in that way," he continued.
In a statement after the race, Vettel also expressed disappointment with the incident. He also hopes that the root of the problem on its tires could soon be found.
Paul Hembery as auto racing boss of Pirelli also claim to have tried to trace a number of possibilities that can cause damage to the tire Vettel.
"We've seen the track with Seb, to see if there is residual fractions (from other vehicles) on the track. To be honest we did not find any. We are now discussing with Red Bull and work together to understand what's going to give an explanation to Seb. "
"We'll work till late and if we do not have the equipment to analyze it here, we'll send it to Milan and trying to find the answer," Hembery straightforward.
