"I am content to continue with Williams in my second season in F1 and I willgive my best to help the team climb back into the top grid," said Maldonado as reported by Autosport.
Maldonado new this season competing in F1. In his debut season, the drivers from the 26-year-old Venezuelan finish in the top 19 with only one point whilefinishing in the top 10 Belgian GP.
"I believe we step into a more competitive team will be seen in the 2012 seasonand beyond. I'm excited to be part of it and also be representative of theVenezuelan people in Formula 1," he continued.
Not yet known who will be in tandem Maldonado Williams. But the team's third driver has been appointed the Finn Bottas.
