Intel made its own smartphone based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with iPhone-like shape. While the tablets that they have developed using the Android operating system Honeycomb.
Given the high popularity of the tablet, it is not surprising that Intel wants to be competitive. But they had to fight hard against ARM, a British chip company.ARM-based processor found in the majority of Android devices and Apple.
Quoted from ZDNet, Thursday (22/12/2011), smartphones and tablet based on Intel's Medfield plan was introduced in the first half of 2012. The device's truepurpose in order to attract the big vendors want to use Intel chips.
"We hope this chip-based products announced in the first half of 2012.Manufacturing can use it freely according to their own reference design," saidStephen Smith, vice president of Intel Architecture Group.
