IU Ever Living Apart from Parents Due to Very Poor

Currently IU could call it a success as a top singer in Korea. Who would have thought, he never lived away from parents because their life is very poor.

IU shared stories about his past on KBS television program 'Win Win'. Hetalked about himself who must live with her grandmother, sister and cousin in astudio room.

"When I was little, I had no choice but to live far from my parents because we were very poor. I live with her grandmother, cousin, and my little brother for a year and a half in a studio room," said IU allkpop reported on Tuesday (13 /12/2011).

"The room was always cold and we were always short of food. We can only live off selling my grandmother's hair accessories on the market. I rarely meet or talk with my parents. I calmed myself as lonely and always remember I stillhave a grandmother," Gomez said.

Before becoming a singer, IU has attended about 20 auditions in variousagencies and failed. He even once almost became a victim of fraud. Luckily he was finally able to join the Loen Entertainment and the album spawned
