Following Wikipedia, WordPress Add Blackout

  Action against ratification of Anti-Piracy Law being deliberated the UnitedStates (U.S.) continued to arrive. The latest is a blog service provider, WordPress, which staged a blackout by changing the front page of its website.

Yes, just like any other site, two laws that was highlighted was the Stop OnlinePiracy Act (SOPA) and Protect IP Act (PIPA).

SOPA or PIPE, in general, will give the rights to the U.S. government to censorforeign websites unilaterally. Was also to follow up piracy action, SOPA alsogives the copyright holder, the right to legal remedies against the owner andoperator of a website if there is content that violates copyright.

Luckily so far, the site of the new note which reacted strongly Wikipedia andWordPress. Other sites that Google, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr bandwagonreported not paralyze its services even though they also do not agree that law.
