Despite calls in need of improvement, Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali,it implies optimism. He believes his team will be ready when the new seasonstarts.
As reported previously, after pre-season test session at Barcelona ended, the entire team will now focus to maximize the data that they get during the test session for the first race of the 2012 season in Australia on 18 March.
After appearing far from satisfactory and powerless resist domination Red Bull,Ferrari winning the constructors' championship as ever in F1 history clearlyexpected to get up and keep up the 2012 season. But the Director of Engineering Pat Fry could not give guarantees.
Fry's opinion is justified by Fernando Alonso. However, the Spanish rider isconfident that Ferrari can only be assessed after the series opener.
"We've gone through the various seasons in Formulai 1 and we know that up torace in Australia, we'll never know what was in our position than others," saidAlonso.
In the meantime, Domenicali said he was not happy with the test resultsachieved by 'Tim Prancing Horse'. But, he cautioned that the pre-season test is not the real goal.
"Obviously we were not happy with the results of the test if you see our finaltujuang. However, it must be remembered that the new season has notstarted," he said in Autosport.
"This is just the beginning and there is a long season lies ahead. We know thatthere are still some parts that are still to be fixed, performance-related anddurability, but I expect a good response," he said.
