Ferrari Pessimistic ahead of Series Opener

Shades of pessimism seems to envelop the Ferrari campBy waiting for the series opener two weeks awaycould not even sure Ferrari on the podium.

After the pre-season test session at Barcelona endedthe entire team will nowfocus to maximize the data that they get all the test session for the first race ofthe 2012 season in Australia on 18 March.

"In the hunt for the podium in MelbourneAt the moment I will not answer," saidFerrari technical director Pat Fry at the team's official website said.

"We are disappointed with the level of performance on these tests and I thinkwe have much work ahead of us," he continued.

After appearing far from satisfactory and powerless resist domination Red Bull,Ferrari winning the constructors' championship as ever in F1 history clearlyexpected to get up and keep up the 2012 seasonBut Fry could not giveguarantees.

"We'll get a clearer answer in Melbournewhether we should be verydisappointed or very littlehow far we are from the leading riders and of coursehow much work we must do to be competitive," he explained.
