The animated film 'The Muppets' scored satisfactory results when it was released on 23 November. Continuing the success of the film, the sequel to 'The Muppets' will soon be produced.
Disney managed to revive the character of Jim Henson for a family film that won an Oscar for the song Bret McKenzie in the movie. According to Variety reports on Monday (03.05.2012), director James Bobin and writer Nicholas Stoller has been asked to return to work on the sequel.
No word if Jason Segel, who co-wrote the script for the first film, will return as well. He and Amy Adams is the main character in addition manusian Kermit, Miss Piggy and friends.
In the film, puppet gang must come together with Jason Segel and Amy Adams to stop the evil plans to tear down the Tex Richman Muppet Theater and drill for oil.
Some time ago, 'The Muppets' accused of spreading anti-capitalist message to children in the United States through one character. Fox Business Network host Eric Bolling accused the film of 'The Muppets' brainwash the children with "anti-corporate message" through the appearance of Tex Richman.
