FIM Release Entry List While MotoGP 2013, Lorenzo Not Wear Number 1

 Entry list for the 2013 MotoGP season has been released Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) as the organizer. In the list, Jorge Lorenzo as the champion of the 2012 season indicated will still carry the number 99 instead of number 1.

Lorenzo, although entitled to use the motor numbered one opponent after winning a tough competition Dani Pedrosa in the 2012 season, appears to have chosen to stick with the number 99 that he used this time for next season.

This may be related to the myth of the "curse number 1" in MotoGP, where the defending champion who chose to use the number on the bike is believed to be difficult to retain the title - even though Lorenzo had claimed not to believe in the "curse".

Lorenzo himself before it actually ever choose to use the number 1 after winning the MotoGP 2010. In the 2011 season, Yamaha rider failed to defend his title after Casey Stoner captured.
