A Los Angeles judge ordered Casey Kasem's wife and three adult children
to put their "bad blood" aside and work out a visitation agreement
after the ailing radio icon signaled that was his wish.
Daughter Kerri Kasem, 41, said she hoped a settlement could be reached,
but scoffed at her estranged stepmom's new offer of individual one-hour
visits every third Sunday and on holidays.
"One hour a month separately under heavy security is treating me like a
criminal, treating my family like criminals," Kerri told the Daily News
outside court Tuesday.
"It's like we're prisoners. Should my father be treated like a
prisoner? Once a month he gets visitation with family members for an
hour? That's not okay," she said.

She said her ideal schedule would be unlimited access, but she was willing to compromise.
"Maybe instead of every week it's every other week for a couple hours
with all of us, with the family together," she said. "As the judge said,
my dad has expressed wanting to see his family, and he's expressed it
loud and clear."
Kerri was in court with sister Julie Kasem, 38, to support Julie's petition for a conservatorship over their dad.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lesley Green denied Julie's request
for an emergency
conservatorship but set a follow-up hearing Dec. 20 on
her request for a permanent one.

The judge also said a court evaluator had determined Kasem wanted to
resume his regular visits with his adult children that stopped abruptly
last summer when the former "American Top 40" host became bedridden.
Kerri previously told The News that she, Julie and their brother Mike
spoke to their dad on an almost daily basis and visited with him outside
the home regularly before Parkinson's robbed him of his ability to use
the phone and ride in a chauffeur-driven car.
She said the siblings felt they were out of options when they staged a
protest outside his gated estate with other friends and relatives
shortly before filing the court action.
Jean, 59, was not in court, but her lawyer Marshall Grossman said the kids' actions amounted to "bullying."

Grossman told the judge Tuesday that he would try to work out an
overall visitation agreement as soon as possible and do his best to
arrange for a Thanksgiving visit in the meantime.
Both sides met for about an hour outside the judge's courtroom before agreeing to continue negotiations in the comings days.
"It was a productive meeting," Julie's lawyer Andrew Katzenstein said on his way out of the building, declining to elaborate.
Grossman said his side hoped to reach a settlement that would make all further court proceedings "moot."

"We're not looking for a piecemeal agreement, we're looking to bring peace," he told the judge.
Jean, 59, became Casey's second bride in 1980. She is best known for
playing the ditzy wife of Nick Tortelli on the hit 80s sitcom "Cheers."
Grossman said last month that Casey agreed with Jean years ago that it
was "toxic" for his adult children to visit the Los Angeles mansion the
couple shares with their 23-year-old daughter, Liberty.
He declined to elaborate on the history of the older daughters'
banishment, but said Kerri and Julie knew the reason "all too well."
"Look, people fight and they don't like each other, and that's fine.
But it's cruel to keep us from seeing our dad," Kerri previously told
The News. "We don't want any money from Jean. We don't care about that.
We were raised well, and we support ourselves."
